Four of the front windows of P60 are dedicated to moving visual art, which show a program compiled of live generated and partially interactive art as well as pre-recorded movies. We gladly welcome third-party contributions to this program. If you’re a visual artist and would like to show your work to an international audience on a large screen, please send your work to the curator AlexP. He will evaluate your contribution.
Please keep in mind that we are looking for moving art, so do not send us a slide show of still pictures, unless it is a very arty one of course. Furthermore, the projections are not combined with sound; it is visual only.
The size of the four windows is about 266x166cm each, with a 8cm cross in between the windows. The aspect ratio of your work should preferably be landscape 16:9. Other aspect ratios are also possible. We will add black bars next to, or below and above the movie.
We offer two projection modes. First, we can cut your work into four parts, and spread it evenly across the four windows. Nothing is lost in this way, but diagonal lines will not be straight anymore. The other projection mode cuts out the 8cm that separates the windows. The part of the image underneath the dark part will be lost, but diagonal lines will be straight.
If you include any text, such as credits at the beginning or end of the movie, please make sure that they do not interfere with the dark cross.
The maximum resolution of the movies is 2560x1600 pixels at 60fps. There is no hard minimum resolution, although anything less than 1280x800 pixels is not recommended.
If you have any questions or would like to send in your work, please contact AlexP at firstname.lastname@example.org.
